Understanding Anhedonia, the Overlooked Symptom of Depression

Recognizing anhedonia as a distinct and impactful symptom of depression is crucial. Not only for the clinical community but also for those who are supporting loved ones with depression. Understanding that a person isn’t just "bored" or "lazy", but might be experiencing a genuine and debilitating symptom, can lead to greater empathy and more effective support.
